Thought for a Day
This day is wrapped in beauty and light
While emotions and hearts take flight
Keeping us comforted in soft peacefulness
Through eyes that see love's actions expressed
Lifting us up into a limitless universe of hope and dreams
Where our lives collide perfectly like bright sun beams
Writing our stories in the light and truth we hold dear
Veiled in a misty and silky smooth gloss veneer
A days journey is like skillfully filling a hope chest
Gently placing in kindness through the words we profess
Encompassing everything and all we observe by our sight
Until the gathering of stars dissolve and merge into night

I Wish I Were A Robot
I wish I were a robot
Full of plastic and metal in every part
Built with intelligent forethought
And for good measure a tiny heart
Covered in modern, stylish clothes
Hiding a framework figure and form
From my head down to my moveable toes
I'd create the perfect storm
All the superpowers would be awesome
With only one small detailed concern
I couldn't take the direct sun
Because of melting, rust and burn
With an awesome AI and human display
My engineering is very near perfect
Ah! Total precision all the way
Including a genius intellect
At work I would be unstoppable
Much to everyone's chagrin
All my parts would be swappable
Except my heart hidden deep within
Yes, if only I were a robot
Yet, I am thinking the unthinkable
The only better idea I got
Is to be completely invisible!

Change
Awakened to the days filled with pandemonium
Hope only seen through murky water
Standing strong trying not to bend or succumb
Believing we can live the life we desire and prefer
Oh, the days pass slowly in this rising revolution
Longing for the change we are affecting to be done
Small voices wither in the vast sea of information
Looking for truth and finding slivers to none
These times try us and dishearten our souls
Like the hands of a twisted, upside down fate
Searching for glimmering light in the many dark holes
Reaching to pull love and light through the narrow gate
Moving forward we climb the plethora of pinnacles
Having yet gone to the upper most height
Yet, we hold dear our hope, dreams and principals
For a future that all mankind can stand and shine bright
Unlock the doors and chains that enslave and contrive
The invasion of evil corruption must be eliminated and die
In our world we want change and honor to survive
Unite! Let our strengths draw that world nigh
So, now we bear fruit to the truths found on this path
As we share them often with our human families
Calm we remain in the face of corruptness and wrath
And we let harmony agree with peace and love be our keys

Remembering
The softness of your touch slowly slips away
Another lifetime lives clothed in a secret array
Strewn with silver threads of fading memories
Time frozen in a distant sculptured frieze
Remembering the laughter of children's play
Smiling while peeking through the doorway
Time seemed endless in that golden moment
Full of warmth and peaceful contentment
As our minds remember we try to recapture
Our life lost in emotion and wounded fracture
Those days we spent immersed in this or that
Never looking forward and never looking back
Nothing more than an earthly creature
Waiting for the light and distant rapture
Living in circles of unidentifiable stories
Accepting the fate of other worldly glories
Our journeys consist of many ups and downs
Where joys, laughter, tears and loss abounds
Days go by in never ending turns and twists
Suspended in memories where peace exists

LUKEWARM
Belief in evil systems
Has molded you in parts
Your heart has been bypassed
Sending all emotions off the charts
Breathing will not help
A mind running on indecision
Painfully deliberating as you toggle
In the end only causes pain and confusion
Free your mind and all its traps
It's the persecution you need to reconcile
You should cling one hundred percent
To elevate your spirit and change your lifestyle
Please hearken to a higher source
If giving means you give your all
Luke warm beliefs and balancing acts
Are meaningless to a world in a spiraling fall
No need for accolades and recognition
Honor always acts in quiet, steady modes
Compassion coming from within your soul
And will never need the secrecy of codes
Choose with discernment and dispose of
All inconsistency and evil you see
Believe you can be the good in the world
And seal it with truth, honor and love

I wrote this poem at a time when I was trying to open the eyes of a someone very close to me. By writing this I was able to let go and have my words take root if they would.
